The Angling Club 2013
Club rules and regulations are posted around both the Machine and Mustard Ponds, bailiffs regulularly walk and fish both ponds and can provide copies if required, fidshing permits can also be purchased from them.
A variety of inprovements are planned again this year for the ponds and the surrounding area. Although the pond was stocked last year, we have decided to stock again and going with the members wishes, we will be stocking carp. As well as this, we hope to remove a lot of weed and provide a 'disabled' peg.
We also decided to try and make the Machine Pond more appealing and safer for anglers, and make night fishing for syndicate members only. I anyone wishes to become a syndicate member, please contact one of the bailiffs as soon as posssible, as there will only be a limited amount of permits.
To help finance these projects and to improve the fishing for everyone, it was decided charge the following for the 2013 season :-

Parc Nant-y-Waun Angling Club
Formation of the Angling Club.
In October 2009, following an issue regarding fishing rights on the Machine Pond, Parc Nant-y-Waun Angling Club was formed and were looking for new members to help create a first class angling facility.
Two bailiffs were appointed to approach anyone fishing in Machine Pond and gave give them a temporary permit which could be used until the end of March 2010. From April 2010 anyone wishing to fish in the Machine Pond would have to purchase a new Parc Nant-y-Waun Angling permit - See below for Licence costs.
The angling club received a grant from the Communities First Trust Fund of £5,000 to restock the pond, and because of the grant, in March 2010 nearly 4,000 different fish including Carp, Roach, Perch, Tench and Bream were stocked in the Machine pond, club members also marked out approximately 30 fishing pegs to be used for competitions.
Restocking the Pond.
Having travelled all the way from Yorkshire, the suppliers, Newhay Fish Farms, safely delivered the young fish, a mixture of Carp, Crucian Carp, Roach, Tench and Bream, to the Winchestown Car Park.
Members and bailiffs of Parc Nant-y-Waun Angling were joined by Richard Sheppard of the Environmental Agency on 23rd March in restocking the machine pond.
Members and bailiffs who undertook the restocking of the pond are all volunteers who gave their time and energy to help restock the pond.
Funding was also been applied for, to improve Winchestown car park and disability access, and build a dam at the outlet of Mustard pond to keep the water level stable.
